If you’re planning to be on the roads this Independence Day, expect the highways to have more traffic than last year. AAA Travel estimates that 41 million U.S. Citizens will travel 50 miles or more from their home this holiday, an increase of 1.9% from the 40.3 million people who traveled last year. 
"With school out for summer, the Fourth of July holiday is typically the busiest summer travel holiday,” said AAA Chief Operating Officer Marshall Doney.
