State officials announced that work on the final stretch of Interstate 49N is expected to begin this fall. The Louisiana Department of Construction said yesterday that the job had been divided into two phases for Segment K – a one mile tract from I-220 to Martin Luther King Boulevard in Caddo Parish.
The first part of the project began in May, and the Louisiana DOT anticipates that the work will be done by 2016 or 2017.
